Leave of Absence Policy
Policy Statement:
Zawaya Emq General Contracting Est. provides employees with various types of leave to support their personal and professional needs, in accordance with Saudi labor laws.
Types of Leave:
- Sick Leave: Employees are entitled to 30 days of paid sick leave per year. A medical certificate is required for absences exceeding three days.
- Annual Leave: Employees are entitled to 21 days of paid annual leave after completing one year of service, increasing to 30 days after five consecutive years of service. Annual leave should be scheduled in advance with management approval.
- Maternity Leave: Female employees are entitled to 10 weeks of maternity leave, which can be taken 4 weeks before the expected date of delivery and the remaining 6 weeks after childbirth.
- Paternity Leave: Male employees are entitled to 3 days of paid paternity leave following the birth of a child.
